Are stairs or ramps better for older dogs?

For instance, if a dog has arthritis or joint pain, a ramp may be the best option since it will allow the dog to move slowly and carefully without putting too much pressure on its joints. On the other hand, if a dog is still relatively active, stairs may be the better choice since they will provide a bit more of a challenge. Ultimately, the decision of whether to use stairs or ramps with an older dog should be based on the individual dog’s needs and abilities.
