When I was deployed overseas, I had to figure out what to do with my beloved dog, Charlie. I knew that it would be nearly impossible to take Charlie with me on such a long trip, and at the same time I worried about leaving him in the care of a stranger or kennel while I was away. In the end, I decided to find someone in my community who could look after him while I was gone.
