Today I became a dad, I can’t believe I finally have my own pups to care for! Ever since I was a pup myself, I’ve wanted a bunch of rugrats to take care of.
I can’t wait to teach them how to fetch, chase cats, and poop in the hooman’s shoes.
Oh, and how to run away really fast when they get caught pooping in shoes. That’s a crucial part of that hobby.
This is my wife, and she is the strongest doggo that I know. I’m so proud to be her husband and she makes me fall more in love with her every day that we are together. I am a very lucky boy.
We met when we were both living on the streets. Her family left her behind when they moved and she has been making it on her own ever since. She was an uptown girl and I was just a raggedy young pup.
Even though I didn’t have her fancy pedigree, we still fell in love at first sight, over a plate of spaghetti that had been thrown out of the Italian restaurant near the alley I used to sleep in.
Sorry, back to the new pups. Can you believe she delivered twelve healthy pups? She is so strong. We had guessed there were only six but apparently, we were very wrong!
Twelve pups are twice as many as the average litter, which just goes to show how unique and special my family is. We are going to have a lot of work cut out for us.
I’m definitely going to need my parents’ help with these little ones. I’m sure they don’t want to deal with them all the time, but neither do we. It’s going to have to be a group effort!
Big heckin’ smooch for mamma pup! But now it’s time to think about the future, more specifically, names.
I’m still not sure what I want to name them. I was thinking of naming them after the cast of my favorite show, Paw Patrol. My wife thinks it’s cheesy, so we might have to find a compromise.
Maybe we can ask the hoomans for help. They’re always calling us funny names, so I’m sure they have a few good ideas for these guys.
For now, though, I need a nap. We have so much work cut out for us that I don’t even know where to start!
