French Bulldog Relaxes in the Fridge to Cool Off on a Hot Day

I don’t know about you, but I can’t stand the heat! I just hate being hot. Unlike humans, who can sweat and wear loose clothes to keep themselves cool, there’s not much a doggo can do! I’m stuck with my warm fur, and all I can do is pant to keep me warm! It can make summer days really unbearable!

And I’ve done everything to try and beat the heat. I drink cold water, I sit in under the ceiling fan, and even standing in front of the air conditioner. They work for a while, but eventually one of my humans will get too cold and turn something off, or I’ll drink too much water and give myself a tummyache. What’s a dog to do in times like this?

Should I Go Into the Fridge?

Well not too long ago, I figured out the perfect solution. Sit in the fridge! It might sound silly at first, but hear me out. You don’t need to drink gallons of water, and you don’t have to worry about anyone else getting super cold – because the fridge has a door to keep all the chill inside!

Not to mention that I’ll have lots of snacks to keep myself from getting hungry! Once the humans put some snacks in there. I mean, there’s nothing worse than being super-comfortable, and then having to get up to get some food! You never quite get back into the same position you were before, and you’re right back where you started! The best part is that my humans are in full support. They don’t mention anything about me letting the cold out, or anything like that.

The Fridge is Nice and Cool

You know, I’m not the first guy to think of this. I’ve seen my human stick their face in the freezer on really hot days as well. Maybe that’s where I got the idea from! I mean, who says the fridge has to be just for food storage, anyway?

And aside from helping me cool down, the fridge also has a nice bright light so I don’t have to sit in the dark. Meaning I have a place to go during really hot summer nights… um, so long as I have a human to open the door for me, that is. They still haven’t invented doggie doorknobs, yet.

Maybe if my family gets a mini-fridge, I can get the door open on that? I mean, I’ve been saying for a long time that we needed to get fridges for every room. Imagine – chilled bacon bits in every corner of the house! I can only dream.

I Fit Into the Fridge Perfectly

This fridge trick also works because I can easily fit myself into the fridge. The bottom part is like a mat!. I’m starting to think that the lower part of the fridge is secretly made for cooling down dogs.

Either way, I know I have to share the life hack with all the dogs at the park. Imagine little old me, kicking off a trend of dogs cooling off in fridges! I’m gonna be the talk of the town, I bet.

Either way, I know this trick works for me. I’m gonna be here all summer long!
