10 Cute Dogs Working Hard on the Computer

I found 10 dogs who have been spending time in front of the computer, trying to find a way to earn a few more bones. Their cuteness will get them far, but here are a few suggestions for ways to make money online.

1. I’m doing important research here

If a human or a dog was looking to start an online business, there are many options to consider but my favorite way to make money online is with blogging. My dad has been blogging full time since 2007 and it has allowed him to work from home with me.

Blogging for most people can start as a hobby or as a source of side income, but with time and effort some people are able to quit their jobs and have more freedom to work from anywhere.

2. I’ve worked too long, I can’t keep my eyes open

The first step with creating a blog is to get setup with hosting and picking a domain name. My dad used HostGator when starting out, and they’re a great low cost option for getting started. With a 12, 24, or 36 month plan you get a free domain.

3. When you need to lawyer up, my cuteness will win the case

One of the great benefits of blogging is that you can improve your writing skills. This can help if you want to do freelance writing to help bring in extra income. By showcasing your ability to write on your blog, you can earn a higher rate for your writing than if you were to go to a freelance site to try to get writing jobs.

4. Dog here, how may I help you?

When starting an online business, the best return on investment for most businesses comes from building an email list. Email marketing is something that has been around for a long time, but it still proves to be an effective way to engage with your audience. Instead of a visitor coming to your site one time, you can connect with them over and over if you are able to get their email address.

5. I’ve been typing all day

A great way to drive traffic to your blog is with social media marketing. Blog posts that do the best on social media are articles that are shareable. Your article should have a lot of value that people would want to share with their friends or family. Value can be in the form of entertainment or information.

6. To catch the squirrel, you must learn of their ways

Another way to drive traffic to your blog is with search engine optimization or SEO for short. This means that you create an article that very thoroughly answers the question to a specific search engine keyword. When starting a new blog, it is best to target keywords that are low competition. If you search for something and don’t find a result that answers the question, then it is a great opportunity to create an article that could rank first in the search results.

7. I’ve worked enough, taking a gaming break

A popular niche is to create a travel blog. There are successful bloggers who have been able to create a lifestyle that many dream about. They travel as much as they want, and they create content about the places that they go. If a blog has a large enough following, then some places will let them stay for free or even pay them to come to their hotel or resort in exchange for a write-up on their blog.

8. I can make money in my sleep

Getting paid to write a review about a resort is an example of sponsored content. This is one of the many ways to monetize a blog, and it works by creating content that mentions or reviews a brand or product. You should only accept sponsorships from companies that you truly recommend, but it can be a win-win if you are able to make money from promoting a company that you would recommend anyways.

9. Don’t worry about my posture, I’m in the zone

Another way to monetize a blog is with affiliate marketing. One of the most popular affiliate marketing programs is from Amazon. If you see a link to Amazon on someone’s blog, most of the time it is an affiliate link. When you click on the link and then buy something from Amazon, the blogger then gets a commission.

10. If you’re going to interrupt me, it better be important

Speaking of Amazon, they are a very large example of an ecommerce store. Ecommerce stores are a great way to monetize a blog. If instead of creating an affiliate link to send someone to Amazon to buy something, you could direct them to your own online store and you would make a lot more profit. If you create your own products, know where to source good products, or want to buy wholesale and resell online then creating an online store can be a great option.
